NN Ventures
How does it work?
We are bringing new businesses (ventures) to life that can operate independently, but are designed to complement existing NN products. We invest our innovation resources in a small number of new ventures per year, up to the Seed stage. When the ventures are incorporated as a standalone company, they can be offered to NN customers as well as for external investment.
By leveraging assets like our customer base, distribution and underwriting capabilities, we aim to combine the power of an established incumbent like NN with the entrepreneurial skills of a startup.
Investment focus
NN Ventures is focusing on developing products for the pension market (under the theme Care-free retirement) and in embedded insurance, which enables customers to purchase insurance products via a third-party platform.
Care-free retirement
The global challenge of an aging population approaching retirement underscores the need for relevant solutions to empower individuals with guidance and support. The Care-free retirement theme is designed to provide complementary services for customers in the countries we operate in. We are developing innovative solutions that deal with financial, health or ability challenges that arise around retirement age.
Embedded insurance
As the global embedded insurance market continues to expand, we seek to capitalise on this growth by leveraging NN's core assets and actively engaging in the platform economy. Our investment focus centers on innovative solutions that empower customers to protect what matters most to them, at a convenient moment in their journey.
