Tjeerd Bosklopper, member of the NN Group Management Board, has been appointed chair of the Dutch Association of Insurers (Verbond van Verzekeraars) for a period of two years. He succeeds Willem van Duin who has held the position since June 2019.
The Dutch Association of Insurers represents the interests of private insurance companies operating in the Netherlands. The Association is an independent organisation managed and financed by its members.
Tjeerd Bosklopper commented: ‘What is particularly close to my heart is that insurers are social enterprises. It is great if we can price on 100 factors through data, but not if we exclude people with it. Let's help the Netherlands get back on its feet and translate the plans we have just presented into concrete actions that have an impact on customers and society. In doing so, we must also show what we are doing. That is what gives society confidence. Together with the Verbond and all its members, I am going to work towards this.’
